  • When you run your Windows 7 computer, you may get the application error below:

"Catalyst Control Centre: Host application has stopped working.

    Application Name: CCC.exe"

  • How to fix?

The problem for the Catalyst Control Center is related to the Graphics card installed on your computer, you may check with the manufacturer if there are any updated drivers for the graphics card which needs to be installed to take care of the issue.

Try following steps to resolve this issue:

I would suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the Catalyst Control Center application. To do so refer to the steps provided below:

    Step 1:

Uninstall the device from Device Manager.

    1. Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, then type Device Manager in the search box.‌

    2. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    3. Look for the device under Display Adaptor (uninstall both ATI device and generic graphic drivers) right click on it and select Uninstall.

    4. Reboot the computer.

    5. On reboot, Windows 7 should re-install the drivers automatically.

    Step 2:

I would also suggest you to uninstall the driver software for the Display Adaptor from the Program and Feature in Control Panel.
