You can determine whether your computer has been infected virus according to the following symptoms:

  • 1) Computer is running slow than before: First of all, you need to determine is the computer speed slow or the internet connection slow? If you are sure that the computer speed is slow, maybe your pc is infected virus. Because maybe the virus take up a large amount of memory and CPU resources, and run a large number of illegal operations in the background, then make your system performance slow down.

  • 2) System is unstable than before: Your pc always automatically restart, system crashes, blue screen or the system can not start properly. Because the virus program can open or self replicate lots of programs and cause the system resource exhaustion. Some of the viruses also can modify the operating system boot informations or delete some startup files. These will cause the above problems.

  • 3) Some files are abnormal than before: Some files can't open, files name/extension/date/property are changed, lose files data, find some files which you haven't seen before. The virus can modify(modify the file format/location) or delete some files, and they can copy the files to generate a lot of unknown files.

  • 4) The capacity of system memory and hard drive have a significant reduction: The self-replicating virus not only can be self replicated and take up a large number of hard disk space, but also causes high CPU and memory usage.

  • 5) Can't open the anti-virus software: Some trojan viruses can make antivirus software or firewall not use and start.
