The Syntpenh.exe is a process installed alongside the Synaptics touchpad for laptop computer touchpads. It provides additional configurations and support, and is essential on some machines for the functioning of the input device.
With respect to the “Superfetch” error, follow these steps to start the service:
1. Click “Start”.
2. Type “services.msc” in the Start search box and hit “Enter”.
3. Locate “Superfetch” and double-click the same.
4. In the “Startup type” under “General” tab, select “Automatic”.
5. Click “Start” to start the service.
6. Click “Apply” and click “OK”.
To disable a list of (unwanted) programs from startup, I’d recommend you follow these steps:
1. Click “Start” type “msconfig” in the Start search box and hit “Enter”.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click “Continue”.
2. Click the “Startup” tab.
3. Uncheck the program(s) you wish to disable from running at startup in the “Startup Item” list.
4. Click “OK.”
5. Restart the computer.
Note Do not disable any of the Microsoft services or other startup programs which may cause startup problem. Exercise utmost caution while disabling.
This would disable the selected program(s) to run at startup.
